Franklin Electric Is Committed to Lead-Free Components

Clean drinking water and the responsible use of natural resources are among the greatest challenges of our time. At Franklin Electric, protecting both people and the environment has always been at the core of everything we do.

To support this commitment, we are aligning our products with legal claims and recommendations and are progressively transitioning all components in contact with water across our product portfolio to lead-free materials.
To meet the requirements well in advance, we are implementing the necessary product changes during the third and fourth quarters of 2026 as part of our continuous product improvement process, achieving the planned implementation milestones ahead of schedule.

The following components are being changed from brass to Stainless steel:

• Jam nuts for 6" cables
• 4" cable couplings (termination kit)
• Valve kits for 8" to 12" rewindable motors

The proven reliability and long service life of our products remain exactly the same. At the same time, they comply with the highest health and environmental standards, providing sustainable solutions for drinking water and underwater applications.
